Overview
***Departures only from mid-January 2024 to mid-April 2024*** We will leave in the morning in our comfortable buses and travel an hour by road seeing the countryside along the coast and the majestic mountain “Anamuya” and then head to the fishing village of “Las Cañitas”, where we will board the boat. As we move from the Marina towards the open waters of the Samaná Bay, the first things you will see are the signs of flapping, tail flicking (movements of the tail fin) and their appearance at a distance. As soon as a whale is located, the boat will move cautiously to its vicinity so that you can enjoy the impressive view of these wonderful creatures. Every year, the Dominican Republic becomes the center of the spectacle of one of the most incredible phenomena of nature. Literally hundreds of Humpback Whales move from the North Atlantic to Samaná Bay to give birth to their young. They live between 45 and 50 years, weigh between 30 and 50 tons and can measure more than 15 meters long. After this beautiful experience, we moved to the famous Cayo Levantado, known as “Isla Bacardi”. Beautiful white sand beaches surrounded by coconut trees, and turquoise waters will await you for a dip. Immerse yourself in these tropical waters, or simply enjoy a cocktail on the sands of this lost paradise. There we will enjoy an excellent Dominican-style buffet lunchHighlights
